An overview of the Revolut way:
Never Settle

Revolut is one of the most talked about fintech, a bank challenger and financial technology provider based in the UK and founded by Nikolay Storonsky and Vlad Yatsenko in 2015.

But how did they become so successful and what is the reason why they are quoted almost everywhere?

It all started with one pain point: Nik had enough of all the hidden fees by traditional banks, especially when spending abroad.

As it turns out, he wasn’t the only one frustrated. 100,000+ people joined Revolut within the first 6 months post-launch, without a single dollar spent on marketing.

Vlad Yatsenko, the other co-founder and CTO, had broad software engineering experience and previously worked at tier-one investment banks, such as UBS and Deutsche Bank.

His experience told him one thing: the next-generation digital bank had to be written from scratch.

Nik and Vlad were set on a clear mission with customer experience and digital technology at heart.

The last 2 core ingredients required: people and culture.

Nik & Vlad knew that to build Revolut they would need the best talents, people hungry to challenge the status quo and who keep on pushing further ahead. Here’s how:

➡️ Never Settle

“We constantly push, rethink, and rework to get 10x further from where we are now. We aren’t afraid to be ambitious — and we’re always looking for the next big thing.”

🤩 Aim for global excellence through innovation, unique ideas, and bold goals.
📩 Push the envelope: Challenge solutions, embrace critique, exceed expectations, and improve the status quo.
💡 Embrace challenges, inspire others, and maintain positivity and energy.

➡️ Think Deeper: decision making based on logic, reason and common sense. Start with why, never lose the bigger picutre and be open minded.

➡️ Get it done: commitment and execution, act as an owner.

➡️ Deliver WOW: put customers first and keep it simple.

Having the right mission and culture cannot be retrofitted as an afterthought. It needs to be in your DNA from the outset and flow into everything you do. You will then be unstoppable.
